From a humble birthplace where he was a shepherd,
he studied law, became a State Governor and served
two terms as Mexico’s President. He fought the
army of Napoleon III, separated the State and the
Church powers, and coined the expression “As
with individuals and nations, respect for the rights
of others is the Peace”
