October 2007 marked The 3rd Annual Charity and Celebrity Golf Tournament. Celebrity coordinator David Mirisch brought down 15 stars from Hollywood that included Olympic gold medal swimmer Brian Goodell, bodybuilder Roland Kickinger, LPGA player Kim Kouwabunpat, former tennis champion Pam Teeguarden and television celebrities such as Gil Gerard, Patrika Darbo, Kyle Lowder, Arianne Zuker, Billy Warlock, Jacee Jule, Michael Bergin, Judy Norton and Ron Hale. "

The celebrity group arrived on Friday and there was a poolside party that night for 200 people at The Playa Club. The title sponsor for the Saturday golf tournament was Tecate where a full field competed for numerous prizes and trophies. That evening over 300 people attended a dinner in The Pavilion where checks for $5,000 were handed out by Pat and Doreen Butler to Casa de Paco and $10,000 to The San Felipe Educational Scholarship Fund. Entertainment was provided by Gary Seiler and Hollywood country and western entertainer, Billy Erickson.

Sunday was R&R day for the celebrities and they enjoyed it by shopping, another round of golf and playing the annual water volleyball game against teams of the Home Owners Association. All in all it was a great weekend and the date for the 2008 tournament next fall will be announced in the future.

Besides Tecate some of the other gracious sponsors were: Z-Gas, Interceramic, R-Mac, Us Air Conditioning/Metro, Cocinas Institucionales, Forsgren/Gardner, CasaBlanca, Cemex, Monex, La Sombra Elegancia, Gold Medical Group, Perla de Mar, Chevrolet and Impulsa.
